Which Casinos List Game RTPs
There’s a ton of variance in how transparent US online casinos are about slot RTPs. Here’s how the most prominent licensed online casinos compare when it comes to their games’ RTP figures.
Bet365 Casino: Very Transparent
Tapping the info logo on any game in the lobby displays the game’s exact RTP, volatility settings, number of reels, lines, and basic feature categories (e.g., “Wilds,” “Free Spins,” and “Multipliers”).
Unlike all other online casinos, Bet365 slot RTPs are available directly in the game lobby, not hidden behind login screens or buried in obscure game rules pages. As a result, it’s easy to see if Bet365 has the games you want and whether it offers them in a high-RTP configuration before signing up for an account.
Hard Rock Bet Casino: Very Transparent
The Hard Rock Bet Casino app matches Bet365 in overall transparency, with all key information for each game available in the slots lobby.
Note: If you simply tap any game in Hard Rock’s slot lobby, the app will automatically launch the game. Instead, long-press (press and hold your finger on the screen) any game in the lobby to quick-load a summary showing min bet, max bet, and return-to-player info.
BetMGM Online Casino: Semi-Transparent
The BetMGM Casino app does not display online slot RTPs directly in the lobby, but a large game rules section in the customer support knowledge base provides RTP figures for most games.
However, BetMGM’s rule pages are inconsistent because they appear to automatically pull information from each developer’s product guide. As a result, a significant portion of its games are missing RTP data. BetMGM is more transparent about RTPs than most online casinos, but it still trails Bet365 in both consistency and ease-of-access when it comes to slot RTPs.
Caesars Palace Online Casino: Not Transparent
The slots lobby does not provide game overviews, meaning you have to launch each game individually to view its RTP or even basic information like the minimum wager.
If you search for a game by name and tap the search result, you’ll get a basic overview that includes a summary, minimum bet, and maximum bet, but no RTP information.
FanDuel Online Casino: Not Transparent
Tapping the information icon on any game in the FanDuel lobby shows every stat except return-to-player. You can view any game’s minimum and maximum bets, volatility rating, top jackpot, theme, and features, but you won’t see the house edge until you fully launch the game and access its help menu.
DraftKings Online Casino: Not Transparent
Like the other online casinos in the “not transparent” category, DraftKings Casino forces players to fully launch each slot and figure out where the game displays its RTP figure.
Why It’s Hard to Find High-RTP Online Slots
Finding accurate slot RTPs is difficult because few online casinos make it easy to compare RTPs across games. At most online casinos, you have to launch each game individually, find the help menu, open the rules, and scroll until you find the RTP.
And since most casinos have slot catalogs spanning 2,000+ games, with the vast majority of them falling in the 96% RTP range or lower, it can take a very long time to find even a single online slot with a 97%+ RTP.
Piecing the information together from different sources isn’t much help, either, because most online slot developers ship games with several possible RTP settings. That means an RTP figure you see published on a slot provider’s website may not apply to the same game at your online casino.
For example, one of the lowest-RTP slots we’ve encountered in the wild is 1942: Sky Warrior by Red Tiger Gaming. The game has a 92.67% RTP at BetMGM, even though Red Tiger’s official product sheet shows 95.68%.
In some cases, the same game can have different RTP figures between states, even at the same online casino.
What RTP Means
RTP represents the percentage of total wagers a slot is mathematically designed to pay back to players over a long stretch of play.
If you wager $100,000 across enough spins on a 96% RTP slot to reach the game’s expected average (typically tens of millions of spins), you should (theoretically) receive approximately $96,000 back in winnings, and the casino should retain approximately $4,000.
The inverse of RTP is the house edge. For example, a 96% RTP slot has a 4% house edge, while a 99% RTP slot has a 1% house edge.
The main thing to keep in mind is that the RTP percentage is theoretical. It reflects the game’s long-run mathematical design, not what happens to you over an hour, a week, or a year of play. Variance can produce session returns far above or far below the published RTP.
What Counts as a Good RTP for Online Slots?
Defining “good” in online slot RTPs is a matter of preference, but we define it as any slot with a 97.00% RTP or higher. Slots with 98%+ RTPs are rare in the regulated US market, and 99% or higher is essentially a myth today.

Although online slot RTPs don’t make a noticeable difference over a single session, they’re worth paying attention to because the difference becomes noticeable over time.
For example, running $10,000 in total wagers through a 94% RTP slot has a theoretical loss of $600. If you instead played that same $10,000 through a 97% RTP slot, you would halve your theoretical loss to $300.
And if you’re not experienced with online slots, it’s easier than you think to place $10,000 worth of wagers (players often place more than $10,000 worth of wagers when clearing a single casino bonus).
That said, we must emphasize that these are mathematical averages. Online slot RTPs are long-term expected value calculations, not short-term forecasts.
Return to Player vs. Volatility
Slot RTP and volatility are distinct concepts, but the interplay between them can drastically change how an online slot feels and the odds that you finish any given session a winner.
While RTP tells you the long-term percentage a slot is designed to return to players as winnings, volatility tells you how that return is distributed.
Two slots can have a 98% RTP but feel completely different:
- If it’s highly volatile, it tends to pay larger but less frequent wins
- If it’s a low-volatility slot, it tends to pay smaller but more frequent wins
Even though both slots have an identical long-term theoretical return, they can feel very different in day-to-day sessions. Both have their advantages, so neither is inherently better than the other.

Heads-Up: Features Can Artificially Boost Advertised RTPs
Some online slots have lower effective RTPs than the headline number suggests because certain features temporarily boost the return.
Medusa Megaways is a prime example. The 97.63% RTP applies only to the Buy Pass feature, which costs 100x the total bet and sends players directly to free games. Standard spins return 96.29%.
We kept Medusa Megaways on our list because the Buy Pass feature is always available, so players can consistently access the higher RTP. Just plan your default bet size accordingly, since the 100x cost will significantly increase your per-spin spend.
Other slots offer variable RTPs activated only by luck, such as landing specific symbols or triggering bonus rounds. Advertising the higher figure in these cases is, in our opinion, outright deceptive. If players have to spin at a lower RTP for a chance to temporarily reach a higher one, the game’s actual RTP is lower than the headlined percentage.
Claiming a slot returns “up to XX%” because of a free spins feature is cherry-picking. True online slot RTPs measure the long-term return of the entire game, not temporary boosts triggered by chance.
If you see an RTP listed as “up to XX%” or as a range like “92% – 98%,” ignore it. The only RTP that matters is the game’s mathematically-derived long-term return.
Progressive Jackpots Also Impact RTP Figures
In the legal US online gambling market, online slot RTPs usually refer to the game’s overall theoretical return, including any progressive jackpots. New Jersey gambling regulations specifically state that published “minimum theoretical RTP” figures may include progressive jackpot features.
Including progressive jackpots in RTP figures is accurate and honest, but players should know that their realized RTP will almost always be lower than the advertised amount because the odds of winning the progressive jackpot are so low.
Some online casinos publish two RTP figures for progressive jackpot slots: one for the base game only, and one that includes the progressive jackpot. If you’re looking at a progressive jackpot slot and see one RTP figure only, assume it includes the progressive jackpot. If you see two figures, the lower figure is probably the base game’s RTP, and the higher figure probably includes the progressive jackpot.
