FOX Bet Review
FOX Bet launched in September 2019 as the product of a partnership between FOX Sports and The Stars Group to offer mobile sports betting and online casino games in regulated markets across the United States.
FOXBet.com is now open to customers from New Jersey, Colorado and Pennsylvania and has plans to launch in additional states moving forward as legislation permits.
Between FOX Sports’ national reach (in front of a key demographic no less) and The Stars Group’s experience in online gambling, FOX Bet has many advantages on paper. But do those advantages actually translate into a superior customer experience? That is the key question we aim to answer with our in-depth FOX Bet review.
Key facts:
- Types of Gambling Offered: Sports betting and casino games
- Established: 2019
- Holds Betting Licenses in: New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Colorado
- Deposit Methods: Credit card, debit card, echeck, PayPal, Skrill, online banking, PayNearMe, cash at Resorts AC, Play+ prepaid card
- Withdrawal Methods: PayPal, echeck, Skrill, online banking, cash at Resorts AC, Play+ card
FOX Bet Bonus and Promotions
It is clear FOX Bet is intent on muscling its way into the competitive online betting market with an emphasis on frequent promotions. New customers are greeted with a two-part welcome offer that includes a no-deposit bonus along with a first deposit bonus while existing customers will find many frequent ongoing promos.
$20 for Signing Up Plus $100 Deposit Bonus
FOX Bet is currently offering $20 to all customers who sign up for an account with no deposit necessary. After you verify your age and identity, FOX Bet will drop $20 in your account that can be used to place wagers and give the platform a test run before depositing your own money.
If you decide to make a first deposit, FOX Bet will match it 100% to give you up to $100 extra. This money and the no-deposit bonus are both offered as site credit and may not be withdrawn, but any winnings earned with the bonus are yours to keep.
Both bonuses come with a very reasonable 1x wagering requirement at minimum odds of -200. This means if you sign up for an account and deposit $100 or more, you will get $120 in total bonus funds. Place at least $120 worth of wagers at odds of -200 or greater and you’ll be free to withdraw any winnings obtained by wagering your bonuses.
Ongoing Promotions at FoxBet
FOX Bet takes a unique approach to ongoing promos by having on-air personalities introduce a new promotion each day, usually in the form of a pro pick and an odds boost.
Some of these offers change with the season, but the general idea is you’ll get to see what a FOX Sports host thinks about upcoming games and follow their pick for a chance at picking up a bigger win than normal.
For example, Cousin Sal comes up with his own wager every Thursday and FOX Bet generates custom odds for that wager. If you take it and lose, FOX Bet will refund your loss with up to $25 as a bonus bet.
Every Friday, the LOCK IT IN panel studies the day’s games and comes up with the best parlay of the day and FOX Bet offers enhanced payouts for all customers who follow the team’s advice.
It’s nice that there is something on offer every day, but the downside is these promotions tend to funnel customers into very specific wagers. If you don’t like the pick of the day, that day’s promo won’t have much to offer.
FOX Bet Sports Betting Review
FOX Bet offers sports betting on all major sports leagues in the US and abroad. Standard pre-game wagers are offered in abundance along with props, alternate lines and in-play betting. Customers can also request custom wagers not found on the platform with the hashtag #CustomBet to potentially receive custom odds on that wager.
Odds boosts feature prominently on the FOX Bet platform and can be found under the “Bet Boost” tab on the main navigation menu. New enhanced odds offers are announced daily with prices bumped significantly.
For example, this FOX Bet review was written on a Monday afternoon and a quick visit to the Bet Boost tab revealed 11 individual wagers with enhanced odds for Monday Night’s NFL matchup between the Chiefs and Chargers.
We compared the odds on several NFL games between FOX Bet, DraftKings and FanDuel and found the odds competitive in every instance.
Sports Covered and Types of Wagers Offered
FOX Bet ranks right in the middle of the pack for sports covered and types of wagers on offer. The major US and international sports are covered, and mainstream sports events usually feature anywhere from 50 to 100 individual betting markets.
If we compare FOX Bet to the other major sports betting operators, the number of markets offered for any individual event is comparable. One thing that does stand out though is in how many #CustomBet markets FOX Bet offers for individual events. At the time of this review, we looked at a Monday Night Football game between the Chiefs and Chargers to find no fewer than 42 custom bets already priced up and ready for action.
Sports Covered:
Baseball | Basketball | Cricket | Cycling |
Darts | Football | Golf | Hockey |
MMA | Motor Sports | Rugby Union | Soccer |

Interface and Presentation
The partnership between FOX Sports and The Stars Group has predictably resulted in a highly polished sports betting platform. From an aesthetic point of view, FOX Bet looks like a well-funded operation from start to finish.
It almost feels too corporate at times with the FOX logo and headshots of on-air personalities adorning most pages, but these little touches do provide a sense of professionalism. At no point does FOX Bet give the impression of being anything but a serious online sportsbook.
Where FOX Bet comes up a bit short in this regard is a lack of additional handicapping features such as game previews, trends and stats. If we compare FOX Bet to DraftKings Sportsbook, for example, there are some glaring omissions.
While the DraftKings interface often includes written game previews, an assortment of stats such as how often each team has covered the spread this season and even little touches such as a clock showing how many hours/minutes until kickoff, FOX Bet offers none of the above. These seem like things a betting site powered by FOX Sports should be able to fix relatively easily.

FOX Bet Mobile Betting App Review
FOX Bet mobile apps are offered for iOS and Android devices. Customers may also visit FOXBet.com to place wagers from a desktop or any mobile device with no download necessary.
Our experience with FOX Bet for iPhone has been positive with the app easy to use and navigate. The mobile interface prominently features popular wagers and upcoming games near the top of the screen along with a simple navigation menu to view all wagers for specific sports.
Tapping the odds next to any market adds that wagers to the betting slip, which can be viewed any time with a single tap. From there, bet amounts can be adjusted and potential payouts seen ahead of time. Adding multiple selections to the betting slip also unlocks the ability to add each selection to a single parlay or round robin if desired.

In-Play Betting Review
In-play betting features prominently at FOXBet.com and on the mobile app with dozens of events covered each day. The major US sports leagues are covered extensively with all NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB games covered. International coverage includes tennis, soccer and events for other sports on a regular basis as well.
You can find ongoing and upcoming in-play betting events under the “In-Game” tab on the main navigation menu. There, FOX Bet lists all games that are in progress or that will be starting soon. Tapping any matchup will take you to a page dedicated to that particular event.
The page of each in-play betting event provides a variety of information related to the game and a listing of all markets that are open for action with odds updated on the fly. A scoreboard at the top of the page will show the current score, time remaining and other top-level info for that game.
Icons embedded in the scoreboard allow you to toggle between four views: the basic scoreboard, current stats, head-to-head stats between these two teams and live play calling that explains what’s happening on the field in real time. FOX Bet also provides a digital representation of the field or court that shows who has possession, who’s attacking and more.

FOX Sports Super 6 Review
Those of you living in states that have not yet legalized sports betting do not have to side on the sidelines all season. FOX Sports launched the free-to-play Super 6 predictions game in tandem with FOX Bet as an alternative that costs absolutely nothing to play but still offers at least $250,000 in cash prizes every week.
FOX Sports Super 6 is available to sports fans 18 or older and is available in 49 states (with Washington State being the lone exception). It operates on an independent app and you can find the official download link for iOS and Android devices at FoxSuper6.com.
How Fox Super 6 It Works
Fox Super 6 is based on simplicity. You can get started by downloading the standalone app for your device and then signing up for an account. From there, you’ll have a chance to predict the outcomes and scores for upcoming games through a series of multiple choice questions over who will win, the final score and player performances.
Get every question right and you’ll win a cash prize worth up to $250,000.
Super 6 launched during the NFL season and held three contests every week throughout the season.
After you download the app, you’ll be prompted to enter each week’s contests. Opening the app and you’ll be presented with a series of simple questions. The more you get right, the more you stand to win.

FOX Bet Casino Review
FOX Bet Casino is powered by PokerStars and can be accessed from within the sportsbook app with the same login. However, visiting the “casino” tab while at the FOX Bet desktop website will redirect you to the PokerStars Casino website where you can use the same login information to play online.
In both cases, the casino features nearly 200 games in total:
- Online slots (162 games)
- Virtual table games (10 games)
- Live dealer games (3 games)
- Video poker (5 games)
FOX Bet Casino Bonuses
FOX Bet customers can claim three welcome bonuses through PokerStars Casino worth a grand total of up to $2,500. While the cumulative value of these bonuses may be tempting, all come with hefty clearing requirements that are difficult to understand and challenging to meet within the 28 days players are given to clear each bonus.
First Deposit: 100% up to $500
- Bonus Code: WELCOME1
Deposit at least $25 into your casino account to get an extra 100% worth up to $500.
Second Deposit: 100% up to $500 + Mystery Bonus
- Bonus Code: WELCOME2
Make a second deposit of at least $25 to get another 100% up to $500 casino bonus. You will also be given a Mystery Chest that will unlock a slots bonus worth up to $500 on top of that.
Third Deposit: 100% up to $500 + Mystery Bonus
- Bonus Code: WELCOME3
Make a third deposit of at least $25 for one more round of bonuses. This one will also get you a 100% up to $500 bonus and a second Mystery Chest containing another slots bonus worth up to $500 extra.
Bonus Clearing Requirements
All three bonuses and any winnings from the bonuses must be cleared for withdrawal by earning 5 redemption points per $1 in bonus money. This sounds simple at first, but understanding how this actually translates into clearing each bonus is a nightmare due to nearly every game in the casino awarding redemption points at a different rate.
For instance, table games award redemption points at a rate ranging from 1 redemption point for every $12 wagered (roulette) to 1 redemption point for every $72 wagered (Atlantic City blackjack).
Meanwhile, slots award redemption points based on each game’s return-to-player percentage (RTP). The lower the house edge, the more that must be wagered to earn a single redemption point. The lowest house edge games award 1 redemption point for every $246 wagered.
FoxBet Slots
With just north of 160 slots on offer, FOX Bet Casino offers adequate variety but falls well short of the nearly 400 games offered by some of its competitors such as BetMGM Casino. We identified slots by noted game designers NetEnt, IGT, and NextGen.
Players interested in playing for the biggest jackpots will find just one progressive machine on offer today: Divine Fortune.
Every other game on the lineup offers standard fixed jackpots. Some of those fixed jackpots can be significant in their own right, but FOX Bet and PokerStars could stand to add a few additional progressive machines to the collection.
Slots can be played for as little as $0.01 per spin and going up from there to fit any budget. In fact, a handful of slots accept wagers in excess of $1,000 per spin if you have the bankroll.

Live Dealer Games at FoxBet
FOX Bet features three live dealer games with the number of tables available for each varying by demand. Each game is staffed by a real dealer who interacts with the players on screen, manages the chips and spins the wheel as you watch via live streaming video.
The live casino game lineup includes:
- Live roulette
- Live blackjack
- Live baccarat
Video Poker
Video poker seems to be more of an afterthought here with five single-hand variants on offer:
- Double Bonus Poker
- Double Double Bonus Poker
- Jacks or Better
- Deuces Wild
